In kindergarten, whenever my teacher says 'fruit' in mandarin (shui2 guo3), my mouth will start to water. Then I will start day-dreaming about watermelons, bananas (not too often because bananas don't have 'juice' when you bite into them hence no 'shui2' in the 'guo3'), lemons, strawberries etc.
I like hearing people say 'shui2 guo3', which is not supposed to be weird anymore cause I've just gave you a reasonable explanation:)
